Fantasy World: The Demon Lord’s Truth Launches Full English Version on Steam

A Retro RPG Opens Its Adventure to English Players

Fantasy World: The Demon Lord’s Truth has launched its full English version on Steam, opening DiceCreation’s retro-inspired action RPG to a significantly broader audience on September 12, 2026.

Developed and published by Japanese indie developer DiceCreation, the game combines classic JRPG influences with hack-and-slash combat, extensive character customization, equipment hunting, quests, and procedurally generated dungeon exploration. The English release follows an extended localization effort designed to make the complete adventure accessible beyond its original Japanese audience.

The localization was previously scheduled to arrive on August 27 before being moved to September 12, giving the developer additional time to polish the game and improve the quality of its English translation.

Build an Adventurer From the Ground Up

Character creation sits at the center of Fantasy World: The Demon Lord’s Truth, with players able to construct their own anime-inspired adventurer rather than taking control of a predefined protagonist.

The game combines its customization systems with 14 distinct jobs, allowing characters to develop around different combat styles and approaches. Equipment acquisition and character progression further expand those possibilities as players explore the world and build increasingly powerful adventurers.

DiceCreation describes the customization system as offering billions of possible character combinations, giving players substantial freedom over the appearance and development of their heroes.

That flexibility feeds directly into the game's broader emphasis on replayability, encouraging experimentation with different characters, equipment, and playstyles.

Random Dungeons Keep Every Expedition Moving

Dungeon exploration forms another major pillar of the experience.

Fantasy World includes randomly generated dungeons featuring different enemies, equipment, and rewards. Each stage has its own Random Dungeon, creating opportunities for players to repeatedly venture into procedurally arranged environments while searching for increasingly valuable loot.

The structure blends traditional JRPG progression with elements commonly associated with dungeon crawlers and loot-driven action RPGs. Players can pursue equipment, improve their characters, complete quests, fight bosses, and return to randomized content as they continue strengthening their party.

The full game also expands beyond the Random Dungeon system with additional dungeon types and hidden superbosses intended to challenge players deeper into the experience.

Summons, Quests, Farming, and More Expand the Journey

The English version opens access to a broader collection of systems beyond the game's primary combat and exploration loop.

Players can encounter summons through dedicated trials, with successful encounters allowing those powerful entities to join their adventure. Quest systems provide additional objectives throughout the world, while farming introduces another progression activity away from combat.

Seasonal maps further diversify the environments available to explore, while casino-style minigames offer another diversion from dungeon crawling.

Combined with extensive equipment collection and endgame content, the additional systems position Fantasy World as an RPG designed around both completing its central adventure and continuing to develop characters afterward.

A Mystery Lies Behind the Demon Lord

Beneath its character progression and dungeon-crawling systems, Fantasy World: The Demon Lord’s Truth builds its narrative around a mystery involving the world's Demon Lord.

Players begin as adventurers before gradually uncovering the circumstances surrounding the conflict and discovering that the truth may be more complicated than the traditional battle between heroes and an evil ruler initially suggests.

The premise deliberately draws from familiar fantasy RPG conventions while using the mystery surrounding the Demon Lord to propel players deeper into the game's world.

That combination of nostalgic JRPG influences and modern progression systems forms the foundation of DiceCreation's approach to the genre.

The English Release Reaches Its Next Milestone

The September 12 launch represents the culmination of a localization process that DiceCreation documented throughout development.

An English demo became available earlier in the summer, providing access to character creation, the opening story, Stage 1, boss encounters, side quests, and the first Random Dungeon. Work subsequently continued on translating later stages and systems before the developer delayed the complete localization to provide additional polishing time.

With that work complete, English-speaking players can now move beyond the introductory content and experience the full game.

Fantasy World: The Demon Lord’s Truth will also participate in Steam Party RPG Fest beginning September 15, with a launch discount planned as part of the celebration surrounding the English release.

An Indie Adventure Built for the Long Haul

Fantasy World: The Demon Lord’s Truth arrives in English with ambitions that extend well beyond a straightforward retro RPG campaign.

Its combination of customizable heroes, multiple jobs, randomized dungeons, equipment hunting, summons, quests, farming, seasonal content, hidden bosses, and endgame activities creates an experience centered on continued character development and replayability.

For players drawn to classic JRPG aesthetics but interested in more open-ended progression and loot systems, the English launch removes one of the largest barriers to experiencing DiceCreation's fantasy adventure.

The Demon Lord's secret is no longer limited by language, and a much larger group of adventurers can finally begin uncovering the truth.
